MADISON, Wis, November 27, 2017 –

Local Madison catering company GRISTLE hired Chef Michael Pruett as Executive Chef and leader of culinary operations.

Pruett, a Minnesota native, earned his degree at The California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena before working in high profile kitchens for Wolfgang Puck and SBE Entertainment.

A member of the Best Chefs in America directory and named Best New Chef and Best Chef by Madison Magazine in 2011 and 2015, respectively, Chef Pruett joined Food Fight Restaurant Group on several new concepts in downtown Madison beginning in 2010. Pruett worked with Food Fight leadership to open Steenbock’s on Orchard and Aldo’s Café in the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery as well as Cento Ristorante off the Capitol Square before being named Culinary Director of Development in 2016.

“I am excited to help GRISTLE create the next-level of event catering for the region and offer menu items that you simply can’t get anywhere else,” said Chef Pruett.
